Marine Applications was founded in 2009 by Frank Fleming.
Frank has over 27 years of experience as a commercial fisherman and fishing vessel owner.
He has used this experience and vision to develop this company to provide a range of services to the commercial fishing sector.
Initially the company concentrated on assisting the catching sector to achieve and maintain sustainability and quality standards.
While the company is still involved in this area the company has grown to provide services to the processing industry.
In 2015 the company developed a software and hardware platform to introduce efficiencies and allow the business to scale its operations.
We work closely with state agencies, particularly An Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) and Frank currently sits on the BIM/Bord Bia market Advisory Group.
Frank is currently a board member of The Irish South and West Fish Producers Organisation and Chairman of The Celtic Sea Herring Management Advisory Committee.
